When not writing, he loves to play video games with his friends, make obnoxiously long writing playlists, wrangle his cats, and play TTRPGs. They have an English B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and work as a technical editor and freelance fiction editor.

Kal holds a bachelor's degree in English, specializing in editing, writing, and publishing, complemented by a minor in professional writing.
He has a combined 7 years of experience in small press publishing, technical editing, beta reading, and multi-genre fiction editing, and has edited over 30 projects by both published and unpublished authors.
